Short answers for the first run
Do I need to choose the conversion type?
No. If you upload VCF, 2VCF prepares Excel. If you upload XLSX, XLS or CSV, it prepares export to VCF
What happens to a spreadsheet before export?
For spreadsheets, 2VCF shows a column mapping step where you can choose name, phone, email, organization and notes
Which formats are supported?
VCF, XLSX, XLS and CSV are supported
Are my contacts stored on the server?
No. Files are used only during processing and then deleted. Contacts are not stored as permanent service data
Is there an offline version?
Yes. You can download separate apps for macOS and Windows and convert files locally
Can one VCF contain many contacts?
Yes. If a VCF file contains multiple contact cards, 2VCF reads them and prepares a spreadsheet or an import file
Can I use files from Google Contacts?
Yes. You can upload VCF from Google Contacts or CSV with contact columns and convert it to the format you need
Which CSV encoding is best?
UTF-8 is recommended. CSV with UTF-8 BOM is handled correctly too
Can I check columns before creating VCF?
Yes. For Excel and CSV, the mapping step lets you choose which column becomes name, phone, email, organization and note
Can I convert contacts without the website?
Yes. You can use the Telegram bot or download offline apps for macOS and Windows
